As we all know, children are like white sheets when we're born, and thus our parents are the ones who coloured them. So, we can say that parents are indeeed important to us.
On the 9th of November 2013, Leo Club of PCGHS held a talk about 'Parent-Children Relationship' during our social meeting. This talk was aimed to create or strengthen a positive and mutually rewarding relationship between the parents and children. Besides this, we hope all our members will know the importance of having a good and strong parent-children relationship as well as family love.
The talk went on quite well as all our members were quite supportive in giving their own opinions. We showed them some touching videos and by doing so, it brought out the meaning of family love and family ties. Then, we had a session where some members were called up to share a story or an experience they had with their own parents. We found out that teenagers at this age don't really appreciate their parents, but instead rebel to them. We gave them advices on how and what they should do to thank their parents and everything. We hope they'll start practicing them from that day onwards. This talk went on for two hours and ended at 12pm successfully.
After this meaningful talk, we really hope all the members who were present will appreciate this talk by us and therefore start to appreciate their parents' love for them. Our parents are those who love us the most and spent the most time with. In order to create a community full of love, we should start from loving our own parents! ROAR!
