Back to School Joy

On the night of 25 October, Lions from Lions Club of Georgetown Central and Omega Leos from Leo Club of GTC had helped out by packing things into goodies bags to be distributed out the next morning. They also prepared and set-up for the event. Cooperation made their job easier and end sooner. :)

OC Steven Yeap is all smiles as he sorts out the coloured files, one of the many items he had sourced from his friends, the suppliers!

With Miss Wong who assisted to coordinate with all the 15 schools involved. :)

Within 2 and a half hours, 300 goodies bags were completed & are all ready for tomorrow's distribution to students.

Lead by example - Omega Leo President, Angeline. :D

On 26th of October 2013, Leo Club of Penang Chinese Girls' High School had attended our Lions Club event, Back To School Joy. This event is to do charity for those students who needed help from different primary schools. This event was held at SJKC Li Tek A. On this honourable morning, most of the primary students were accompanied by their parents or teachers to attend this event. We distributed the bags of school uniform to each of them and provided each of the students a piece of bread and a packet of Milo as well. After that, we took a group photo with the students and of course with the teacher in charge.

Fellow students and parents are waiting for the distribution.

Cozy chat. :P

Distribution starts. :)

A smile on their faces totally made our day. :D

Appreciation for our help. :)

Not forgetting a group photo.

Besides that, St John Ambulance members were also invited to give a speech and show all of us the steps to rescue someone through Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). We sincerely hope that the students learnt much and hopefully this first aid knowledge will benefit them in the future. Lastly, this event was a success and we felt delighted about it. ROAR!

Great team of officers from St John Ambulans Pulau Pinang.

Demonstration of CPR ( Cardiopulmonary resuscitation )

Children paying full attention. :D

Hands on session for the students!

Wohooo, here comes our Lions Club President, Lion Loh.

Although we were quite tired after the day but it was totally worth it to have done something for the needy. Tiredness paid off, ROAR!
